Our experts can aid in site selection through GIS modeling and direct site inspections, to asses development potentials, travel, wetlands, wildlife, tree, water equality, sound... Choosing the best site, fastest through permitting and going vertical, minimizing mitigation requirements.
We have modeled population growth distribution for regional utilities (FP&L, Duke Power, others).
We have saved millions in mitigation fees n single projects for Lennar, resolved stalled projects for Amazon, pioneered low cost methods to resolve contamination, & created mitigation that raised home values.
We offer 35 years of experience securing wetland permits through USACE ( §404 & §10 ), state, county, and local agencies; wildlife permits under Endangered Species Act, state and local authorities; securing water supply permits for municipalities and agricultural operations; addressing contamination issues, and a wide range of environmental issues .
We lead the field science data collection, preparing persuasive packages, and aiding engineers in site design to limit impacts and speed investment recovery, and leading agency negotiations. We go waist deep from swamps with 'gators, to county commissions, to federal oversight agencies. We save our clients money and time. We have pioneered relocation methodologies, and taught on Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, as well as state & local statutes and guidelines.
Our work has included contracts developing current permitting programs, & award winning mitigation design.
Our tree experts are ISA Certified and licensed in several states with higher requirements. We not only identify, but reduce claims on specimens trees by knowing disease and risk assessment beyond ISA certification. This saves hundreds to thousands in mitigation, and allows more design alternatives. We have relocated trees as large as 76-in. DBH, and routinely enhance the work of contracted tree movers.
We assess sites for contamination risks and potential offsite impacts, including site assessments, sampling designs, and developing mitigation plans. We have worked on Super Fund sites from New York to Florida. We have worked on agricultural land conversions with legacy contamination and natural background levels from native arsenic to atmospheric mercury deposition.
We have led projects in 52 of Florida's 67 counties.
We have led projects across 4 continents.
We have led projects from thousands to tens of millions of dollars.
We have led projects from tens of acres to hundreds of acres to hundreds of square miles.
No project is more important to us, more exciting to us, and more passionate for us, then our next project.
In environmental consulting, we studied with the worlds greatest ecological & wetland scientists, from Ohio State, Syracuse, SUNY College of Environmental Science, and University of Florida HT Odum Center for Wetlands.
This scholarship is the foundation of our empirical practice from Everglades restoration, creation of regional wetlands of ecological importance, to Lake Okeechobee Restoration, to efforts at The Villages, for Lennar Homes, Centex, Toll Brothers and others.
We save in time in environmental permitting, innovate in mitigation, and apply science to reduce mitigation credit requirements.
Expertise & Innovation in Practice
We have secured wildlife permits, relocation, negotiated take mitigation for:
FL bonneted bats, Manatees; Sawfish; Whooping Crane; Sandhill Crane; RCW; GT; Indigo snakes; crocodile; alligator; gopher frog; Red rat snake; Sand skink; Scrub Lizard, Bluetail mole skink; Pine snake; Grasshopper sparrow; SE Am. kestrel; Bald eagle; Osprey; Burrowing owl; Sherman’s fox squirrel; FL black bear; Beach mouse, Crested caracara, Snail kite, FL scrub-jay, Shore birds, Wetland birds; Wood stork, Sea turtles, Flatwoods salamander, Florida Panther, others
We pioneered relocation & mitigation methodologies.
We deliver your project needs, while improving wildlife values.
We have assessed lands for ecological roles and development potentials from Florida to Alaska, Maine to California, and along both coasts. We are experienced soils scientists, plantsmen, and practiced in groundwater and surface water hydrology assessments: lakes, rivers, streams, & canals.
Our tree surveys & permitting, limit mitigation through expert identification of disease, infestation, & risk in specimen sized trees.
We can assist or lead in site selection, including development of models. We evaluate environmental and ecological issues, issues of concurrency, travel times, model future growth distribution.
We field document &integrate technologies for critical knowledge to best approaches
We have practiced planners and designers that can aid in site planning. We have served as support on restorations to Central park, New York Botanical gardens, Kanapaha Gardens, and others. We provided support to re-use planning of superfund sites, including planning off site land use as to support restoration efforts and subsequently be integrated.
We work with your team to increase value, limit future risks (hurricanes, flooding, etc.) and enhance aesthetics.
